Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Richard Moser and I live in Hickory, North Carolina located in the western part of the state at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Catawba County EM95ir.

I became interested in Amateur Radio at the age of twelve and received my Class "B"(13wpm) license as W4REZ on March 6, 1950 at the age of fourteen. Received my Class "A" license on March 21, 1951 and Extra Class(20wpm) on June 11,1965. Became K4DJ on March 25, 1975. Active on all bands 160-2 meters on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. CW is my preferred mode of operation. I love chasing DX with my modest station. Am letter "G" sorter for the W4/K4/N4 ARRL Incoming QSL Bureau.

My wife Norma and I have been married for fifty-four years. We have three children Richard,Jr. and wife Jan, David, and Susan. We have four grandchildren, Patrick and wife Robin, Heather and husband Stacey, Jeffery and Nathan and two great grandchildren Kianna and Zachary. I am retired from the furniture industry.

I want to give a special thank-you to my wife Norma for her support and understanding(toleration) of my dedication to Amateur Radio. I love you.

Note:

My original web site was on Earthlink for several years. Due to circumstances beyond my control I lost that web space. You may email me at k4dj@arrl.net
